July 4th weekend

July 4th weekend

We set out for Pt Reyes after breakfast. It was a nice drive with the hubby after a long time. We didn’t hike to the lighthouse as I wasn’t prepared for it but we enjoyed some great scenery near the seashore and on the way back had a nice Indian meal at a restaurant in Lagunitas. The food was organic, vegetarian and delicious. I don’t have pics from our lunch as we had a late lunch at 3 pm and the food was gone as soon as it arrived on our table.  Here are aome pics from Pt Reyes         ...

London 2015

London 2015

After visiting India, Paris, Scotland we were finally at London. London was beautiful too. I did feel it was very much like Bombay but much cleaner, classier and organized and the architecture was mind-blowing. It was very vibrant and upbeat and place I would like to visit again. We stayed at our close friend’s place and he was more the welcoming and accommodating even though we met after four years.  I think we enjoyed London also because the great company of our friends 🙂...

Scotland 2015

Scotland 2015

Nevertheless, we enjoyed it as much as we could and took quick pics so we didn’t have to stay out in the cold for long. Scotland has over 10,000km of coastline, several islands, mountains, canals, rivers and lochs. The food was fresh with small portions as compared to the US and the people were friendly and warm. Edinburgh- the capital of Scotland is the most beautiful city I have seen so far. No wonder it is listed as UNESCO’s world heritage site. Here are some...

Paris 2015

Paris 2015

Paris as you know is the capital of France and also one the most populous cities of France. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a couple days in Paris visiting the most-visited museum Louvre where the original Mona Lisa painting is exhibited and also a few of other attractions such as the magical Eifel Tower, Sacre- Couer, MontMarte, Paris Opera, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, Arc De Triomphe. I loved the city, the architecture and the lovely cafes where one can sit and just observe people passing by. My most favorite was the Sacre-Couer & Montmarte where street artists sell their artwork!  ...
