Tokyo Imperial Palace

After we were done with biking, we headed to Tokyo Imperial Palace. The Japanese emperor and his empress live here. The palace buildings and inner gardens are obviously not open to the public except on New Year’s and Emperor’s Birthday, when visitors are able to enter the inner palace grounds and see the members of the Imperial family, who make several public appearances on a balcony.Nevertheless, we got to see the palace which has the largest number of people coming to view the cherry blossoms! The palace certainly looks magnificent in the night!
