This is the main shrine of the capital, known as Meiji Jingu. One of the most beautiful Shinto shrines located in the heart of Tokyo. Shinto is the native religion of Japan. Shinto neither has a founder nor has a holy book. However, Shinto is deeply rooted in Japanese people and traditions in the form of virtues like harmony & sincerity. This shrine is dedicated to the divine souls of Emperor Meiji and his consort Empress Shoken. We visited this shrine last Sunday, I expected this place to be crowded but fortunately it had very few visitors. Hence, I managed to get a few shots of this beautiful shrine!
