We went to the east coast this past long weekend. Although, we planned on going to New York, we just toured in Washington DC and spent time with family and friends in North Carolina, Raleigh!  Washington DC, the capital of US has many monuments and memorials and museums. I liked all of the museums and spent a lot of time reading about the past, current and future! I feel museums is a great way to learn!! What surprised me the most was that the admissions to most museums were free and yet they were very well maintained! The monuments and memorials were magnificent and fascinating! We also got to see the White House, President Obama’s residence! Apart from the sightseeing, I think DC had a different feel due to the metro trains, lot of red brick construction and great architecture of the monuments!
