Izakaya means ” to stay” where traditionally men drink sake after work. Now-a-days lot of students and independent women visit this place for after-work drinking. We went dining yesterday to Tsuki (moon) no Shizuku (dew)月の雫. As I entered this place, I was asked to remove my shoes and keep them in a decorative wooden shoe rack. I then headed towards the traditional Japanese style seating. It involves seating on tatami mats and dining from low table. It had a great ambiance and cozy atmosphere! The first thing you order is a drink. Drinks are served with edmame- soybean pods boiled in water and salt. The menu is innovative with lot of Japanese dishes served in an innovative way. A ‘must go’ place when you are in a mood to have a taste of fun, food and Japanese culture!
