I remember the evening Sagar told me that he has to go to Japan for a business trip. I was happy for him but when he mentioned that we will have to stay there for two months I was a little disappointed. The very thought of leaving our home sweet home made my heart sink in. Me and my husband had spent a lot of time doing up our house in San Jose. We spent all our weekends deciding and buying stuff for our home like shower curtains, coffee table, dining table, cozy mattress and numerous other house accessories and utilities. I was excited and had already made plans about enjoying hot water bath in my bathtub, delicious lunch on our new dining table, afternoon nap in my cozy mattress & comforter and evening chai with pakoras on my convertible couch. This was not going to be possible now as we would have to start packing up for our trip to Japan. Sagar somehow  manages to reads my mind perfectly! He said,” c’mon honey we are just going to be away for two months and I am sure you will enjoy staying there”. I did not want him to be unhappy and so I kept mum. We soon left for Yokohama, Japan and I must admit that the moment I landed in Tokyo I fell in love! I fell in love with the service, the people and the city. In an hour’s time we reached Yokohama where we would we be staying for two months. Sagar’s company had booked an accommodation for us. As I entered the house I was taken aback, it was simple, modern and well furnished. Here are some pictures of my home away from home…
