Since I love nature and hikes, our friend, Sapna suggested we should hike to the Great Falls. I instantly agreed and we went there for a hike. At Great Falls, the Potomac river builds up speed and force as it falls over a series of steep, jagged rocks and flows through the narrow Mather Gorge. A walk along the Potomac or through the woods on one of the park’s trails offers a glimpse into the natural scenery which is breathtakingly beautiful. Luckily, we also got see many wild birds. I saw a deer too but by the time I would turn my camera on to take a picture it ran away. By far, this was one of the most wonderful outdoor experience I have ever had! After this experience I am sure I want to hike the Half Dome, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and hike in Utah too
Here are some pics from Great Falls, Potomac River..
