I always wanted to paint Buddha .The calm, serene and peaceful facial expressions have always fascinated me. My recent visit to the Big Buddha of Kamakura rekindled the desire to bring it on canvas. I first decided to use different colors, but then I thought, by doing so I would ruin the serenity of Buddha. Hence, I finally completed the painting in blue- the color of tranquility!
