I am writing a blog post after a long time. This time its not because of lack of time, ideas, happenings in my life to write about. Its moving my blog from one hosting site to another. When I began blogging, I used posterous as my platform. As soon as I got comfortable with that it got bought by twitter and they decided to stop giving its users the blogging platform and so I had to move my blog to wordpress.com. It was hard to get used to functionality of WordPress, it still is, but my brother says it has the best user interface. I was excited when I moved my blog, new look, new fonts to play with etc. But soon a friend told me my older posts were no longer available. I was heart broken. I called my brother, he tried to move the pics and the posts to my new network but it wouldn’t allow although we had a backup the links were broken. We managed to move the text but not pictures, and as always I started to blame the technology. I like technology but not the cons that come with it. I had to solve it, I had to start blogging again, and so my brother said the only way to mend it is edit every single post, add images. Can you imagine how long it has taken me to do that. It was so hard to look for the pics I used in a particular blog post, re-size them to make sure the file isn’t heavy, upload it and then insert the images ..phew!! I almost felt like giving up and delete my blog altogether so there wouldn’t be anything to worry about. But, how could I ? It was something I started 3 years ago, I had so many memories, beautiful comments from the readers. So , I decided to go ahead and restore my blog. If I hadn’t faced this problem, I would have spent my energy in writing new blog posts. Nevertheless, hone ko kaun taal sakta hein… I couldn’t find a appropriate picture to describe my situation, but here is the closest one

So, what next? Nothing, its all set now. I still have some touch ups to do  ( like the fonts have changed automatically and stuff) but for the most part the older posts look fine now. So watch out for new posts 🙂
