2017 it is!

I have been able to keep up with blogging much ever since I started working. I wonder how I ‘d find time to blog when I was studying and had tons of assignments and projects to work on plus all errands that coming with running a house. I can’t change what’s gone but I hope I will be able to do more of what I truly enjoy doing this year..

- An original painting a month ( to make it more difficult different mediums). Due to 2017 being the way it was fore me, I did not really get a chance to paint every month but did create a few pen and paper paintings mainly folk art such as warli, Madhubani etc. I am hoping to do more of this next year.

- Read 12 books this year. I got tons of books from the library when my parents were visiting but couldn’t read all of them due to time constraints and not having enough of “me time”. I am hoping to do more of this next year.

- Suryanamaskar each day. On physical activity front, not the best year for me due to treatment and surgery but I am doing a bit of exercise whenever I feel like it. I chose to walk anywhere from 1.5 miles each day to 3 miles on good days, incorporate Fitness Blender at-home workouts, at-home walking You-Tube videos and other You-Tube Videos once in a while such as Barre workouts, Yoga, Dance workouts etc. I need to continue with this next year

- Practice gratefulness each day ( 5 mins of prayers each night to thank for all good things each day). I haven’t done this in a structured manner like the resolution I made but each time I felt low I did count my blessings. I am genuinely very gratfeul for everything the Almighty has blessed me with.

-5 mins of prayers each morning before stepping out of the house.  I tried to this as much as I could but not enough, will continue with the same resolution for the year of 2018.I pray “Logasya” whenever my husband reminds me to at night and chant “Navkar Mantra” most nights when I am unable to sleep, while driving, when stressed etc but need to form a structured routine just like brushing and drinking tea that comes to me naturally.
