There have been no posts for long as I was busy finishing another painting that I took up. It’s a painting of a Ballet dancer! The word ballet comes from Latin word ballo, ballare which means ‘to dance’. It is a poised style of dance which includes foundational techniques for many other dance forms. This form of dance is very hard to master as one needs to focus on pointe work (dance on the tip) with free flowing acrobatic movements. What I like most about this dance form is tutu a bell shaped skirt made with light weight fabric like silk or nylon with very fine netting!
This painting is done on canvas with acrylic colors. I wish I would have done this painting in oil colors to get some more depth and detailing!
