I can’t believe it’s been a month since my last post and I haven’t had time to blog or even breathe. The reason being “super-busy, crazy-busy”! I didn’t even notice my busyness until an old friend asked me “How are you”? To which I replied “super-busy, crazy-busy”, life sucks! This is when it occurred to me that I have been trying to stretch out of my limits. I keep worrying about how busy I am going to be tomorrow, keep up at night thinking about things I didn’t accomplish, frustrated, irritated etc. So I made a conscious decision to take time off and be at home without waiting for the weekend or spring break!
I kept my books away from my sight, made up an excuse at the place I volunteer, did not attend classes at school, went to a friend’s place for tea, had long conversations with her about India (she just returned back from a vacation to India), watched some Indian daily soaps (which is an occasional treat for me). I am now sipping on lemongrass chai as I write this post. I plan to cook a wonderful dinner for my husband and go for a walk together.
I might have been a superwoman at handling school, volunteering, cooking, studying, assignments, exams, cleaning the house etc, but not content. Today, I realized the amount of stress, frustration, anger, disappointment, irritation and pissedoffness that comes for one little thing –not being able to TAKE TIME OFF! So friends be sure to…
TAKE TIME to work, it is the price of success
TAKE TIME to think, it is the price of power
TAKE TIME to play, it is the secret of perpetual youth
TAKE TIME to share, life is too short to be selfish
TAKE TIME to laugh, laughter is the music of soul
TAKE TIME off, to enjoy this beautiful life!
